Building Strong Families Homelessness Prevention

Building Strong Families Homelessness Prevention program provides case management, counseling and cash assistance to families at-risk of becoming homeless, with the goal of emotional and financial stability and self-sufficiency.

Food Pantry distributes canned goods and food vouchers for perishable items so no family should go without the basic necessities.

Healthy Families/Healthy Children

Healthy Families/Healthy Children provides communication and parenting skill building group classes and in home support services to adult, unmarried couples who are expecting a baby or have given birth within the last three months.

Healthy Families/Healthy Fathers

Healthy Families/Healthy Fathers is an initiative that provides fathers with parenting, communication and money management skills so they can be a better parent and provider.

Operation Military Assistance Program

Operation Military Assistance Program offers case management and financial assistance to very low-income veterans and their families who are literally homeless or who are about to become homeless to enable them to obtain or maintain stable, permanent housing.

STARS Program for differently-abled individuals

STARS Program provides fun and learning opportunities through social and life skills groups for differently-abled individuals and their families.

VIP-ER (Voluntary Interim Placement - Enhanced Recovery Program)

VIP-ER (Voluntary Interim Placement - Enhanced Recovery Program) provides family reunification services for individuals in substance abuse treatments at the Salvation Army.

Adolescent Diversion & Assistance Program (ADAP)

To reduce or prevent future involvement of youth, ages 11-17 years old with the juvenile justice system.

Camp Mariposa

Camp Mariposa is a program designed to help meet the needs of children (9-12 years old) facing the difficult challenges associates with an addicted or co-dependent family member.

Children's Crisis Team

JFCS, in partnership with The Florida Center, provides a 24/7 Children’s Crisis Team serving children and their families in Sarasota County.

Counseling for Children and Adolescents

JFCS provides counseling and social services for children and adolescents.

Emma's Dream Team

Emma's Dream Team offers counseling services to students at Emma E. Booker Elementary School who are engaged in destructive, or potentially destructive, behavior.

JFCS Summer Programs

JFCS Summer Programs involve middle school youth, ages 11-14.

Parent Advocacy Program

Project Pride is a prevention program aimed at reducing substance use among at-risk youth in Sarasota County.

School Based Programs / Safe Alternative to Out-of-School Suspension Programs

School Based Programs / Safe Alternative to Out-of-School Suspension Program (SATOSS) provides services to at-risk youth at Booker, Heron Creek and McIntosh Middle Schools and Booker High School in Sarasota County and Lincoln Middle School in Palmetto.
