Vice President of Client Services

Essential Functions

  1. Provide day-to-day leadership and management that mirrors the mission and core values of the agency.
  2. Lead the agency in a manner that achieves and surpasses business goals and objectives.
  3. Develop key performance indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness of client services and the effectiveness of all processes – internal and external.
  4. Provide timely, accurate and complete reports to the President/CEO on the operating condition of the agency.
  5. Spearhead the implementation of effective growth strategies and processes.
  6. Motivate and leads a high performance team; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to career development.
  7. Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the agency.

  1. Assist in the creation of the agency’s strategic plan and its implementation.
  2. Assist in the development of the annual operations budget.
  3. Lead the performance management process that measures and evaluates progress against the goals of the agency.
  4. Provide staff with a strong leadership presence.
  5. Lead and manage the agency’s Counselling, Healthy Families/Healthy Children, Veteran, Building Strong Families, Seniors, and Volunteer Services.
  6. Work on pursuing, securing and administering grants and assure timely and accurate grant compliance.
  7. Work alongside other Management Team members to identify opportunities for growth.
  8. Develop and monitor key impact measurements.
  9. Assist in the training of staff.
  10. Partner with the President/CEO to build strong relationships with grantors, contractors and constituent groups.
  11. Create and implement a dashboard to measure Quality Performance Improvement.
  12. Instill an atmosphere of staff development and coaching culture.


Key Qualifications

  1. Results proven track record of providing outstanding services, exceeding goals and demonstrating good decision making.
  2. Experience in effectively building organizational and staff capacity and a results oriented, supportive work environment committed to excellence.
  3. Ability to think analytically, strategically and to anticipate future trends.
  4. Action oriented: able to look for challenges and opportunities and respond appropriately.
  5. Understanding of non-profit operations and budgeting.
  6. At least 10 years of professional human services experience with a minimum of five years in a senior leadership position that included supervising staff and operating multiple service programs.
  7. Masters level degree in a behavioral health field preferred.
  8. Strong relationship builder and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
