Job Title: Front Desk Reception

Accountability: Clinical Director

Job Summary/Function: The Front Desk Reception is responsible to check in clients, collect fees, process payments, enter referral data, and create/manage productivity reports. This position is a member of the Front Desk Team. Varied hours of work may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform front desk reception duties as assigned
  • Check in clients, collect fees, process payments, photocopy client’s identification/insurance cards, route client to the appropriate staff
  • Perform insurance pre-authorizations
  • Complete hardship waivers as appropriate
  • Notify staff upon arrival of visitors/guests/client
  • Order and monitor office supplies
  • Maintain agency phone list
  • Create/manage productivity reports
  • Input referral data
  • Complete other support job functions as assigned

Educational Requirement:  Minimum of a high school diploma

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including EXCEL

Training Requirements:

Oriented within the first three months of hire to:

  • the Agency’s mission, philosophy, goals, and services;
  • the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the service population;
  • the Agency’s place within the community;
  • the Agency’s personnel manual; and
  • Lines of accountability and authority within the Agency
  • Training on proper documentation techniques and the maintenance and security of case records and client files including HIPAA specific regulations
  • Specific trainings provided by funders, as needed
  • All COA-specific and JFCS required trainings.
