Where Are My Keys Chorale?
Our special choral group is for persons with memory impairment and their caregivers. The chorale meets weekly for a sing-a-long of favorite and familiar tunes. Each semester is a unique curriculum of vocal exercises, breathing exercises, and musical selections around a theme which concludes with an end of session performance for friends and family.
When: Thursdays 12:45-1:45pm
This choir provides positive and joyful experiences for those living with memory loss or dementia and their care partners. WAMK Chorale is a partnership between Key Chorale and JFCS of the Suncoast and Senior Friendship Center’s Adult Day Program.
Two eight-week sessions are planned for each year, led by Maestro Caulkins with the assistance of Key Chorale volunteer singers. These groups explores the potential of people living with dementia or memory loss to experience renewed purpose, learning, and friendships. The sessions are uplifting, fulfilling, and fun and are an important part of their care.
