B’nai B’rith M. Aurel Rosin Community Compassion Fund
The B’nai B’rith M. Aurel Rosin Community Compassion Fund was created in 2024 following the dissolution of the B’nai B’rith Gulf Coast Lodge 2004 Corp. The Compassion Fund is available specifically for individuals who are Florida residents of the Jewish faith served through JFCS’ Jewish Connections program and to help with:
- Funeral services – direct costs including, but not limited to caskets, grave liners,
or urns for cremated human remains. - Burial Plots in established cemeteries within the counties served by JFCS.
- Cremation Services
- Assisting individuals of the Jewish faith through the Jewish Connections program who are deemed in financial distress and come to JFCS for support.
Maximize Your Impact with IRA Year-End Giving
If you are 73 years or older, you can make a significant impact through a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA. This allows you to donate up to $100,000 per year directly to JFCS without having to pay income taxes on the distribution. By making a QCD, you not only support our mission but also benefit from tax savings. Unlike regular withdrawals from your IRA, QCD’s are excluded from your taxable income, which helps reduce your overall tax burden.
To make a QCD, simply instruct your IRA custodian to transfer funds directly to JFCS of the Suncoast. It’s a straightforward process that can make a big difference. Your generous contribution will help us provide mental health and human services to empower individuals and families toward well-being and self-reliance. Together, we can achieve more and make a lasting difference in our community.
To ensure your gift counts for the current tax year, please complete your IRA charitable distribution by December 31st.
